I was searching for answers for years, wondering how I was going to find the true church! One thing I did know is that the Word of God the Bible was the only tool I could trust. So, I decided to go from Church to Church looking for answers. One of the major questions I had was where does it mention Sunday worship in the Bible? Many said thay it’s the seventh day of the week which is known as the Sabbath Day according to the 4h Commandment. God said to Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it Holy! Then, What is the Seventh Day Sabbath Day? Many that I have asked say it is Sunday, but when I ask for them to prove it to me through the Bible, they can never do it. Sometimes I would receive the Response that because Jesus Christ resurrected on a Sunday thats why we should commemmorate Sunday worship. However, Jesus Christ never kept Sunday worship and his disciples and disciples never kept Sunday worship after his resurrection, proving that the disciples 2000 years ago, who folowed Christ necver observed Sunday worship. Even according to the records ofd the Resurrectrion of Jesus Christ, we can clearly see that the Sabbath day is not Sunday, but Saturday. In Mark 16:9 (New Living Translation) it states,”After Jesus rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, the first person who saw him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons.” So clearly we know that Jesus Christ resurrected on Sunday. However, according to Mark 16:(1-2)(New Living Translation) it says, “Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb.” Clearly the Sabbath Day is Saturday and even Apostle Paul kept Sabbath Day Saturday and he existed after Jesus Christ had resurrected. It says in Acts 18:4 (New Living Translation) “Each Sabbath found Paul at the synagogue, trying to convince the Jews and Greeks alike.” Then if you truly want to follow the truth and follow Christ the way the discioples did 2000 years ago, then you have to keep the Sabbath Day, not according to the Jewish way stated in the Old Testament but according to the way that Jesus Christ kept the Sabbath. It says in Luke 4:16-17 (New Living Translation) “When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:” If you truly want to be a follower of Christ then you should keep the Sabbath Day according to the way Jesus Christ kept it.
